1. What is MGI

MGI is a worldwide association of independent auditing, accounting and consulting firms linked together for the benefit of members and their clients.

2. What are the origins of MGI

MGI grew from the international professional contacts of one firm and was first formed in 1947.

3. What can MGI do for my firm?

All members are afforded access to the technical expertise of over 200 offices worldwide in 70 countries. MGI is one of the top Accounting Firm Associations in the world.

4. What are the mechanics of accessing this expertise?

As a member, you will be given access to our online directory of members which lists individual names and contact information as well as each member's area of expertise. 5. What is the fee for joining MGI?

The initial fee to join MGI is $1,500. The annual dues are a percentage of your annual revenues. The percentage is set by the international committee each year. The association is a non-profit making group, so the fee is set at the minimum amount necessary to cover the annual budget. Currently, this is set at 0.17% of each member firm's total turnover, subject to a minimum of US $2,000 and a maximum of US $13,000 per firm.

6. What additional expenses will your firm incur as a member of the MGI?

Other than our annual dues, there are no hidden costs incurred.

7. What are the primary benefits of MGI?

MGI focuses on providing quality financial services through its member firms to their clients. We have expertise in every service and niche area with a specialization in international tax. The primary benefits of membership in MGI include the following: access to marketing tools and expertise; the ability to exploit additional business opportunities; and above all, the high level of technical expertise in our member firms worldwide. We understand that your primary concern is being able to meet your clients' expanding needs while affording them the same high quality that you provide.

8. How will your service be expanded through membership in MGI?

The networking itself will give you many opportunities for your firm's growth. Additionally, our members brand their firms on the local level as having this international expertise. Significant growth has been achieved in this manner by many of our member firms.

9. What will MGI mean to my clients?

MGI will afford your clients the ability to expand their operations both domestically and internationally since they will have access to the resources of an international firm. Yet, our members retain their independence as well as the personal and business relationships they enjoy with their clients.

10. Should I use the MGI logo on all of my firm's materials (i.e., letterhead, business cards, advertising, etc.?)

Yes, our members tell us that doing so has resulted in getting new business and cross-selling to existing clients. MGI will provide you with camera ready artwork for your printer or in-house marketer for this purpose.
